Report on Arachnids

You may not know what a achnid is but you've obviously seen one. Read this to find out more. Arachnids are found all over New Zealand and even in the whole world except for Antarctica!  This report is all about facts on spiders for kids.

What a spider looks like.

Spiders have eight legs. Spiders have two body segments.

Where do  they live?

They live all over the world but no Antarctica.

What their webs look like:

There are 3 types of webs. They are orb webs, cobwebs and funnel They look like this;

Different types of spiders

The most friendliest spider is the wasp spider. The most poisonous spider in the world is the brazilian wandering spider. The giant huntsman spider has the longest legs in the world. Patu digua is the smallest spider in the world.

We need to look after spider because they are important. They eat annoying pest like flies and mosquitos. So the next time you see a spider don't kill it.  

Arataki Trip

On Wednesday my class and Room 6 and Room 7 went on a trip to Arataki to learn about insects.Wee went on a bendy bus it took 40 mints to get there.

.My buddy was Bruno. I had to suck up the bugs and he was the hunter. We went into the bush and we used pooters to suck up the insects. 

then went inside and we learnt about nature recycle.
